superb reissue of ron trent s all-time deep techno classic altered states. made when he was still school-age, and released in 1990 on armandos seminal warehouse label, this record was an immediate underground club hit, turning ron into a local hero, kickstarting his hugely successful production and djing career and making him probably the only chicago house producer to rate one of the best techno singles of all time! this classic acid workout is stunning in its simplicity and has been described as one of the most perfect and moving tracks ever heard. the other tracks are also very beautiful in their own right despite having been overshadowed by the epic altered states - the afterlife was included on dj hells x-mix-5. all tracks digitally remastered for superb sound quality

drumcode keeps up the relentless pressure with a release from another brilliant producer - dustin zahn. a few words can easily describe dustin zahns style: moody, tribal, dark, and hypnotic. since dustin co-founded abiotic recordings with ian lehman in 2001, hes finished projects for labels such as livewire records (detroit), analytic trail (italy) and invasion (belgium). his tracks have been received support from techno producers such as redhead, adam beyer, danilo vigorito, tim xavier, ben sims, chris liebing, dave clarke, umek, and countless more.

SPLIT EP
12 Inch
28.07.08
yore returns with a true dream team split ep, pairing yore label head andy vaz with sistrum manager patrice scott. vaz is up first with a beautiful slice of old-school funk and soul within a deep house formula, >back to square one< that has a whole lot more in common with isaac hayes and james brown than with juan atkins or any other techno icon. accompanied by a wah-wah guitar figure and claps, a bullet-proof bass line leads a nine-minute charge thats quickly bolstered by a slinkily swinging drum groove. creamy synth chords and blazing horns intermittently spill over the pulsating mix and then vanish, leaving space for the rhythm to intensify and the track to grow ever more euphoric (and even, towards its close, a bit acidy). a true mission into both funk and house, which again showcases vazs ultimate diversity as an outstanding producer. scott titled his second sistrum release beyond deep and the title might just as easily apply to the b-side >aztecal< where the detroit producer slathers shimmering stabs and congealing streams over a thudding kick drum and flickering percussive detail. while vazs cut draws inspiration from the timeless traditions of decades past, scotts looks towards the future when its gleaming shuttle lifts off in pursuit of distant galaxies.

12 Inch
23.07.08
italian based eclipsemusics second outing comes with a serious release courtesy of passenger, young and talented producer of night drive music and paul macs sula muse fame. this two tracks 12inch confirms his interest in the deepest and more underground side of detroit techno. on side a >the fall< reveals the smoother side of this upcoming producer: a deep melodic techno builder, with emphasis on atmospheric strings and arpd melodies, developing on a funked up techno drum section. the flipside brings you the burner of the 12inch: >the funk< is an a epic, slow-growing and booty-shaking techno track with all the elements in its right place: a killer bassline over an effective drum work takes the flight with the building strings. namedropping would be useless in this case, just check with your ears

supported by marc romboy, olivier huntemann, nudisco, mugwump, da fresh, jack de marseille, michael forzza, david guetta, dave clark, claudio coccoluto, martin solveig, ivan smagghe and many more... the story goes like this: fred hush went dj-ing to the russian federation. he was invited by shishkanov evgeniy pavlovich (aka eugene for his friends). being a dance producer as well, he proposed >not gay song< to fred hush... just to test him really. fred hush immediately liked the deep 80s minded 120 bpm melody and influenced by the voice of eugene (with a certain depeche mode feeling), fred was immediately interested to sign this wonderful track to the palm beach label as a true potential dancefloor hit!

two great edits produced by rotterdams loud-e (who previously did an amazing edit release on magick edits & bear funk). this disco connaisseur is sharing some of his sickest and hottest edits, made out of several tracks which once were available as b-side, as obscure library album or just in very limited quantities. he is one of those young guys influenced by the scene around clone and cbs and dj’s such as i-f & baldelli. but now its his time to shine with some amazing edit work! hey mr dj!!! this song is just for you!

21.07.08
first single from the forthcoming album called >toinen< from sasse comes in the form of 2 long, evolving, pulsing deep tracks which bring the finn back into his rootz of house music. big with alex kid, agoria, danny howells, steve bug, mathias kaden, kiki, garnier, jimpster and many many more
daniel mehlhart steps up to the plate for kindischs seventeenth release, origami - an exquisitely deep, languid house jam laced with strung-out, processed spanish guitar and gently euphoric xylophone arpeggios. >origami< is languid, yes, but not exactly laid-back: its held up and propelled forward by a gently vibrating lattice of kickdrum and snare hits, through which a dubby, molten bassline and taut, time-keeping chords dreamily but determinedly flow. the perfect soundtrack to the mixed pace of summers long days and even longer nights. mehlhart harks back to his acclaimed past releases on karmarouge and neutonmusic for >alles klar alles easy<, which sees brushed drum and shaker sounds edited into a quietly explosive techno work-out with serious swing. >fata morgana< begins in a more linear, four-to-the-floor style, but those percussive flourishes quickly accrue into something more strange, and then out of the ether comes an entrancing, south american-style chorus line. the voices mingle imperceptibly with woodblock strikes and caustic snares, injecting the techno dna >fata morgana< with a sick and psychedelic voodoo funk. with this 12inch kindisch once again proves itself to be a preeminent stable for experimental, expressive dancefloor music, and daniel mehlhart affirms his status as one of our most daring and capable producers
DEVILS HOUSE
12 Inch
21.07.08
this summer mos ferry prod. comes up with a new two-track 12inch by dapayk solo, announcing the release of his second album >devils house< in late september. the title track on side a is already giving directions for this journey – provided that theres a proper bass response – >frickelsound< with affection to the little details, in particular with regards to the bass frequencies. but knowing dapayk thats hardly surprising, by now ... on the b side he presents >a saw attacks< - a track like a recapitulation of certain minimal elements that are around for quite a while now. but only the beginning is a typical sportive staccato theme. after a while a full-stereo sawtooth sound and a demoniac vocal sample take the lead, pushed by a strong punchy kick drum and accompanied by a sounddesign of clicks and sweeps
